Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of counterstrikego.com, which is run by Esports Digital LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we," "us" or "our"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What the site is

CounterStrikeGO is an independent site about Counter-Strike 2 (CS2): news, guides, history, analysis, pages on teams, players and events, and prices of CS2 items. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation. Counter-Strike is a trademark of Valve Corporation.

The site is free to read. It has no accounts and sells nothing.

Information, not advice

  • Item prices are snapshots of Skinport's public data at the time shown next to each price. They are not offers to buy or sell, and they are not financial advice. Prices can change sharply, so check the marketplace before you buy or sell.
  • Price charts and ranges describe past prices. They do not predict future ones.
  • Team, player and event data from Valve's Regional Standings and PandaScore is updated on a schedule, not in real time, and may be out of date between updates.
  • Game updates can change settings and mechanics. Guides show the date they were last checked.

If you find a mistake, please tell us as described in our editorial policy.

"Inspect in game" and links to other sites

"Inspect in game" buttons are steam:// links that ask the Steam app on your computer to open an item in CS2. Steam and CS2 are Valve services, and your use of them is governed by Valve's terms.

Links to other sites, such as Skinport, Valve, tournament organizers and teams, lead to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, offers or policies.

We never ask for your Steam login, password or API key. If someone asks for them in our name, it is not us.

Using our content

You may link to any page of the site and quote short passages with a link to the page you quote. Do not copy whole articles or pages, manually or with automated tools, without our written permission. The same goes for our data, with two exceptions: the files listed under "Our data files" and material whose credit or license on the page says otherwise.

Our data files

You may reuse these three files under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0):

When you reuse a file, credit "CounterStrikeGO" and link to the page the file comes from.

The license covers only our own contribution: the calculation of the index, and the selection and arrangement of the data. It does not cover data that belongs to others. We calculate the Skin Index from our daily snapshots of Skinport's public data. Weapon values come from Valve's game files, and the update posts named in the changes file are Valve's. Those sources' own terms apply to their data.

Nothing in these files is financial advice.

Third-party material

Some material on the site belongs to others and remains subject to their terms. These terms do not change theirs.

  • Counter-Strike, CS2, item names, item images and in-game item descriptions belong to Valve Corporation. Item images are marked "Item images © Valve Corporation."
  • Values read from the game files, such as the weapon values on our weapon stats and weapon changes pages, belong to Valve's game.
  • Team and league logos are trademarks of their owners. Team logos come via PandaScore.
  • Rankings and rosters come from Valve's Regional Standings. Player names and countries, matches, results and events come from PandaScore and are marked "Source: PandaScore."
  • Item prices come from our own daily snapshots of Skinport's public data. We are not affiliated with Skinport.
  • Item facts and the catalog of all skins come from the ByMykel/CSGO-API dataset, available under the MIT License.
  • A news image taken from the post a story is based on belongs to the post's publisher and is credited to it, for example "Image: Valve."
  • Twitch streams and clips and YouTube videos belong to their creators and play in Twitch's and YouTube's own players.
  • Photos of players and events come from Wikimedia Commons. Each photo is shown with its author, its license and a link to its source.
  • Tables built from Wikipedia data are credited as CC BY-SA 4.0 requires. Liquipedia data, when we use it, is credited as its CC BY-SA license requires.
  • The 3D weapon models in guides are free models by other authors, used under CC BY 4.0. Each one is credited with its author, license and changes.
  • Flag icons come from flag-icons, available under the MIT License. The fonts Saira, Saira Condensed, Archivo and Chivo Mono are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • The 3D view uses three.js and site search uses Pagefind, both available under the MIT License. The license texts of three.js, Pagefind and flag-icons are in licenses.txt.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site in a way that harms it or other visitors. For example, do not attack it, overload it with automated requests or try to circumvent its security.

Availability, errors and liability

The site is free. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. When we are told about an error, we fix it.

Prices are daily snapshots and can be out of date. Nothing on the site is financial advice. We are not responsible for decisions you make on the basis of the site to buy, sell or trade items, except where we were at fault.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date below shows the current version. If you continue to use the site after a change, the updated terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States. Disputes will be heard by the courts of the State of Wyoming. This does not affect the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
