Affiliate disclosure

CounterStrikeGO has no affiliate links and no paid content today. This page explains what that means and how we will label such links and content if we add them.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link to a store or marketplace that pays the site a commission when someone buys or sells through it. On our pages, such a link will carry the label "Paid link," so it is clear that we are paid.

Today

The links to skinport.com next to our prices are plain links. They carry no referral code, and we earn nothing from them. Our prices come from our own daily snapshots of Skinport's public data. We are not affiliated with Skinport.

If we add affiliate links or paid content

  • Affiliate links will use URLs on our site that start with /go/.
  • Each affiliate link will carry the label "Paid link" next to it and the rel="sponsored" attribute, which tells search engines that the link is paid.
  • An article with affiliate links will carry the line "Advertisement: we earn a commission from paid links in this article" before the text.
  • An article paid for by an advertiser will carry the label "Advertisement" above the headline.
  • Marketplace rankings will be based on a published method, never on the size of a commission.
  • Partners will not set the prices we show. Prices come only from our own data.
  • Advertisers cannot buy or change our news coverage, prices or rankings.
  • Affiliate links for products and services regulated by law follow the laws that apply to them, including any age limit, license or warning those laws require.

Our advertising page lists the formats we offer and the ads we do not accept.
