Trade-ups by grade

Skins listed: weapon skins of the game data whose collection has a skin of the next grade (Valve's post of Sept. 26, 2013: the highest grade of a collection is filtered out of the contract); for Covert, skins whose collection's case holds knives or gloves, its rare special items in the game data. With StatTrak™, the calculator lists skins with a StatTrak™ version, and a Covert trade-up gives knives only (Valve's post of Oct. 22, 2025).

The community estimate

• Chance. Each of your items adds every possible result of its collection once, and the result is one of them at random. A result's chance is the number of your items from its collection divided by the total of possible results your items add.
• Float. Each item's float is placed in its own skin's float range, from 0 at the lowest to 1 at the highest; the average of these is placed in the result's range: lowest + average × (highest − lowest).
• Exterior. From that float, by Valve's limits on the Workshop finishes page: Factory New below 0.07, Minimal Wear below 0.15, Field-Tested below 0.37, Well-Worn below 0.44, Battle-Scarred from 0.44.
