Former professional player Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko criticized FURIA Esports AWPer Danil “molodoy” Golubenko in a post on his personal Telegram channel, Cybersport.ru reported on Nov. 6.
Zeus said molodoy is very strong with the AWP and has excellent aim. But in his view, molodoy too often counts on shooting alone and makes simple mistakes.
What Zeus pointed to
Zeus said that in situations where the goal is simply not to die, molodoy may:
- take an unnecessary gunfight
- fail to fall back after a trade
- fail to take a more passive position
- fail to play close to a teammate who could trade him
Zeus said an opponent only needs the right timing. They can bait an AWP shot out of molodoy, or provoke a duel in which a second player immediately trades him. In Zeus’s words, molodoy often ends up in such situations.
Zeus on FURIA’s work
Zeus called it strange that FURIA has not yet worked through these moments. He said the team has a coach and an analyst, and a player of molodoy’s level should make far fewer such errors.
Zeus also said he gets the impression that molodoy relies too heavily on aim and pays little attention to macro play. His advice was for molodoy to start by watching more demos and reviewing his own mistakes.
Cybersport.ru wrote that at the time of publication FURIA was playing BETBOOM TEAM in a match for a semifinal spot at IEM Beijing 2026. Each team had won on its own map pick, and the winner was to be decided on Nuke.
Why it matters
Zeus, a former pro player, publicly criticized molodoy's play and called it strange that FURIA has not yet worked through these moments.
