Team Vitality’s William “mezii” Merriman said the team came closest to its prime form at ESL Pro League Season 24, Cybersport.ru reported on Oct. 12. The Counter-Strike 2 player spoke in an interview published on the YouTube channel TL;DR on CS2.
Asked whether Vitality had returned to their best, mezii said it is hard to say for certain, but that EPL Season 24 was the closest they have come. He called stability one of the team’s main achievements during their era. According to him, Vitality showed a very high level at some events this year even when the tournament did not end in their favor.
The point, he said, is to hold that level through an entire championship, and that is what happened at EPL Season 24. He added that he hopes the team keeps going the same way and that they are definitely close to peak form.
Bucharest without apEX
PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 will be a little different because Vitality will play without Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, mezii said. He said he hopes the strategy of telling ZywOo to go and kill still works when he is the one running it, and that the team will see whether it can lift the trophy.
Cybersport.ru reported that apEX cannot play the event because of the birth of his child. Justinas “jL” Lekavicius will temporarily take his place in the roster, and mezii will take over as captain. The tournament starts Oct. 24.
