  • ChangeLynn Vision Gaming to move to fifth in VRS, per Cybersport.ru

TYLOO withdrew from the playoffs of HyperX Retake Season 13 so they could make their matches at IEM Beijing 2026, Cybersport.ru reported on Nov. 1. The Chinese Counter-Strike 2 team received a technical loss in their quarterfinal against Metizport.

According to the outlet, the withdrawal ends TYLOO’s chances of playing at the Major. When Valve Regional Standings (VRS) are recalculated, the team will lose some points, and fellow Chinese side Lynn Vision Gaming will take fifth place in the ranking.

The options TYLOO had

Cybersport.ru said the team had to choose between competing for a high placing at Retake and not reaching China in time, or withdrawing. Staying in the event would have brought sanctions from ESL and cost TYLOO their invite to the next event, the outlet wrote.

TYLOO could also have beaten Metizport, reached the semifinals and then withdrawn. That would have meant two technical losses, in the semifinal and the third-place match, and a bigger loss of points, according to the report.

The stand-in issue

The outlet also pointed to a roster issue. At Retake, nominal coach zhokiNg stood in for Jee, who missed the event because of illness. Cybersport.ru wrote that under the rules an invite goes to the players who played the last five matches before invitations are sent. Had TYLOO received a Major invite, they would have had to play with zhokiNg, the outlet said.

Why it matters

TYLOO took a technical loss in the Retake quarterfinal. Cybersport.ru reports it costs them VRS points and their chance of a Major invite.
