Klaus “D0KT0R3N” Nielsen, head of Sashi Esport, considers it unfair that Valve allowed the BCGame Counter-Strike 2 roster to stay in the Asian region before the Major while ignoring other teams. Cybersport.ru reported on Oct. 23 that he made the comments to Dust2.dk.
Two weeks without a reply
According to Cybersport.ru, Nielsen said Sashi Esport contacted Valve almost immediately after the rules were updated, hoping to settle the situation. Valve replied after three days. They declined a call with club representatives and advised the club to write to an official email address. Nielsen said the organization has had no answer for two weeks.
Nielsen said BCGame and Valve resolved the matter in a day, so in his view Valve is ignoring Sashi Esport. He said he is unhappy because everyone should be equal, and called the treatment privileged and out of place in sports. Sashi Esport does not have an equal chance to build its future, he added.
How the dispute began
In early October, Sashi Esport signed three players from the Asian region to try to qualify for PGL Major Singapore 2026 through Asia, Cybersport.ru reported. After the reshuffle, Valve amended the Major regulations, which stopped the club from establishing itself in the new region before invites are issued.
BCGame and WW Team also changed their rosters. Only the team of Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostylev received permission to switch regions and compete for a Major slot. Cybersport.ru reported that Valve issued the rule update a day after announcing the original version.
Why it matters
According to Cybersport.ru, the amended Major rules stopped Sashi Esport from establishing itself in Asia before invites are issued, while s1mple's team got permission to switch region and compete for a Major slot.
