ProbLeM says Virtus.pro did not train for about a month

Virtus.pro coach Dmitry “ProbLeM” Martynov said the team went about a month without training before winning WINLINE MPKBK CIS LAN Season 9, Cybersport.ru reported. He spoke in an interview with Cybersport.ru published Nov. 2. Virtus.pro won the CS2 event on Oct. 23, and Martynov has worked with the team since January 2026, according to the outlet.

One day with Patsi

Patsi played for Virtus.pro at the event. ProbLeM said the team practiced with him for one day. Apart from that, the team had not trained for about a month, he said, and there were reasons they could not hold training sessions. In his words, they played essentially as a mix at the tournament.

Asked whether the title was a fluke, he said no. The other four players had played together and knew each other, he said, and fitting one person into tactics and defaults is not that hard. Virtus.pro played their own CS, he said, just without some of the finer details.

On mir and the team

ProbLeM said the captain, mir, brings experience and confidence. He said mir is not quiet or closed during games, unlike his image in the media, and called him the team’s most energizing player. Asked who he works with most, ProbLeM said all the players about equally, with perhaps a bit more time with mir.

The coach also said Virtus.pro could not go to Thunderpick World Championship 2026. He called it sad and said everyone wants to attend a tier-one event.

The coaches he rates highest

ProbLeM said he could not single out one best coach, but named the top ones as he sees them:

• Hally
• B1ad3
• Fierce
• zonic
• dastan

He added that ashhh might also belong on the list, though he was not sure, and that those he named may be better.
