PGL describes it as its fifth CS2 Tier 1 tournament of 2027. Rewards total $1.3 million: the $1 million in winnings plus $300,000 in Valve Regional Standings (VRS) bonuses.
Invites and format
Every invitation is based on the VRS. Fourteen teams receive a direct invite from the Global VRS, starting from No. 1. The last two spots go to the winners of the EU Closed Qualifier.

The qualifier invites eight teams from the Europe VRS, starting with the highest-ranked team that has not yet received an invitation. It is a double-elimination bracket with all matches played as best of three. PGL said 22 teams in total receive a direct invite, and there is no Open Qualifier and there are no Wildcard Invites.
Money
The $1 million in winnings is split into a $500,000 prize pool and a $500,000 Club Share, both paid by final placement. Payouts for the top four places:
- First$280,000 ($180,000 prize pool, $100,000 Club Share)
- Second$155,000 ($80,000, $75,000)

- Fourth$90,000 ($40,000, $50,000)
Last place, 16th, receives $2,500.
Teams can also earn through two other programs. The VRS Invite Bonus is a $300,000 pool shared by the top five VRS teams that accept the invite, $60,000 each. If a team declines, the bonus passes down the ranking up to rank 12.
The Annual Viewership Incentive is a $2.8 million yearly pool for the top 16 teams by average viewership across PGL’s 2027 CS2 Tier 1 tournaments. PGL said the ranking is published within 30 days of the end of each tournament, and the incentive is paid by March 31 of the following year.
Conduct rules
PGL listed 16 integrity and conduct rules that can disqualify a roster from a direct invite. Among them:
- A person with a Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) ban on CS2 or CS:GO may not play, substitute or coach unless Valve has approved it.
- A roster may accept an invite only if at least three of its players were on the invited roster on the invite date.
- Any roster that withdraws from a PGL event is disqualified from a direct invite to the next PGL event for which invitations are sent.
- A team whose organization has not paid an amount due to PGL by the invite date, such as a fine, is disqualified from the direct invite.
PGL said every decision that disqualifies a roster is published when it is made.
Why it matters
Fourteen teams will be invited from the Global VRS on May 3, 2027, and eight Europe VRS teams will play for the last two Main Event spots in an online qualifier.
