Team Falcons sniper Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov rejected his Baby GOAT nickname, Cybersport.ru reported on Nov. 5. He spoke in a video that the IEM Beijing 2026 organizers posted on X.

Asked by SPUNJ how he feels about the nickname, m0NESY said, in Cybersport.ru’s translation, that there is no Baby GOAT: a player is either a GOAT or is not.

Where the nickname comes from

Cybersport.ru explained that GOAT stands for “The Greatest of All Time.” According to the outlet, the Baby GOAT tag stuck to m0NESY because of comparisons with Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliov, whom many consider one of the best players in Counter-Strike history. The outlet wrote that the community gave him the nickname because it saw him as s1mple’s successor.

Falcons’ result in Beijing

Cybersport.ru reported that Falcons are out of IEM Beijing 2026 after losing 2-1 to Natus Vincere in an elimination match. The outlet said the team finished in seventh-eighth place.

Why it matters

m0NESY has given his own view of the Baby GOAT nickname, saying a player is either a GOAT or not, with no junior version.
