British journalist and Counter-Strike 2 tournament host Richard Lewis said Team Falcons discussed moving Finn “karrigan” Andersen into a coaching role, Cybersport.ru reported. Lewis spoke on the Snake & Banter podcast on YouTube.
What Lewis said
According to Lewis, the plan as he understands it was for zonic to leave to spend more time with his family. karrigan would then become coach, depending on how things went. Lewis said all of this was discussed behind the scenes.
He said Falcons brought in karrigan to win a Major, and that karrigan had until Singapore to help NiKo take one. Lewis called winning a Major on the first attempt the worst thing that happened to Falcons. In his view, winning led people to expect the team to win every tournament, while tier-1 events remain very hard to win.
Lewis also said the only truly stable player on the team is m0NESY. He said he was sad to see m0NESY sign a five-year contract, or however long it is, and added that he assumes m0NESY enjoys the money.
Falcons under karrigan
Cybersport.ru wrote that the 36-year-old karrigan joined Team Falcons in April 2026. At the time of its report, the team had played nine tournaments with him and won one of them, IEM Cologne Major 2026. Falcons lost two other finals.
