FUT coach seeks Major sticker exceptions, Cybersport.ru reports

FUT Esports coach coolio asked Valve to reconsider the rule that keeps SunPayus from getting a personal sticker for PGL Major Singapore 2026, Cybersport.ru reported on Oct. 29. According to the outlet, he made the request in a post on X.

What coolio said

In the post, the coach called the situation absurd, according to the Russian-language report. He said SunPayus has played for FUT Esports for two months and misses out because he is one match short of the requirements.

At PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, the coach said, FUT reached the playoffs 2-0 in matches. They could have deliberately lost to Team Vitality to meet the conditions, he said, but chose to keep their sporting integrity. In his view, SunPayus and cmtry both deserve an exception that would let them qualify for the Major with their teams.

The FUT coach also raised the case of Vitality captain apEX. In his words, apEX loses his sticker only because he became a father and missed one tournament, while jL gets it. He added that he has nothing against jL.

How the rule applies

Cybersport.ru reported earlier that SunPayus will not get an in-game sticker for the Major. He has played only four official matches for FUT Esports since his move from G2 Esports, and under the regulations cmtry, who still counts as a FUT player, gets the sticker in his place.

The outlet also reported that apEX may miss out. According to the regulations, jL, who stood in for apEX, played more than five matches for Vitality at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 and so counts as part of the roster.
