dumau says his Steam account was hacked, Cybersport.ru reports

Legacy’s Eduardo “dumau” Volkmer said his personal Steam account was hacked, Cybersport.ru reported on Oct. 25. The Brazilian Counter-Strike 2 player made the announcement in a post on X.

According to the outlet, dumau tagged the Counter-Strike, Steam Support, Steam and Valve accounts and asked for help restoring access to his profile. In the post, as Cybersport.ru relayed it, he said the attackers changed his email address and asked for support to get the account back. The outlet wrote that the intruders had also changed the password.

Earlier cases

Cybersport.ru wrote that this is not the first time in a month that hackers have targeted the accounts of CS players. It said attackers earlier broke into the account of a former BIG player and probably left a message for a Valve developer.
