  • WhatValve let BC.Game go through Asian qualifying for the Singapore Major
  • Changerosters must play in a region at least three months to switch

Team Spirit’s Danil “donk” Kryshkovets said Valve should not have made an exception for a single team in its updated Valve Regional Standings (VRS) rules, Cybersport.ru reported on Oct. 10. The comments, in Russian, concern the ruling on BC.Game.

He said that if Valve makes an exception this season, it should apply to every team, and that singling out one team is wrong because other teams behind BCG did the same. At the very least, he said, it is unfair to Sashi.

What Valve decided

According to Cybersport.ru, Valve officially allowed BC.Game to try to qualify for the Major in Singapore through the Asian region. The outlet reported that the team received an exception because it does not meet the recently updated region-change rules, which require a roster to compete in a region for at least three months.

Why it matters

The exception decides which region BC.Game use to chase a spot at the Singapore Major, and donk's comments point to other teams that did the same as BC.Game.
