- Whatfixes for reload sounds, AMD liquid rendering and demo rewinding
Valve released a Counter-Strike 2 update on Oct. 28 that adds a Hold or Toggle option for Silent Reload Mode. It also fixes several bugs, including reload sounds and black liquid on AMD cards.
Silent reload changes
With Toggle enabled, a player can let go of the reload button once the silent reload has started. To cancel a silent reload and go back to a fast reload, the player taps the reload button again, Valve wrote in the patch notes.
Valve also fixed various cases where the first sound of a reload was audible regardless of whether the player had requested a silent reload.
Miscellaneous fixes
Other fixes address a bug where liquid could render as black on AMD video cards and some sound and UI bugs when rewinding during demo playback.
Why it matters
Players can now choose whether Silent Reload Mode works by holding the reload button or by toggling it. The update also fixes reload sounds that were audible despite a silent reload.
