Boombl4: BetBoom did not expect an easy match against Legacy

BETBOOM TEAM captain Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov said his team did not expect an easy match against Legacy at Thunderpick World Championship 2026, Cybersport.ru reported. He spoke in a video circle on the club’s Telegram channel after the group-stage series.

What Boombl4 said about Legacy

Asked why all three maps were so close, Boombl4 said an easy match was not expected. He said Legacy consistently win tournaments in China and play what he called good crazy CS.

According to Cybersport.ru’s report of the interview, Boombl4 said BetBoom had to adapt to Legacy more than to other opponents. He said they surprise opponents with purchases of second AWPs, with their setups and with their style of play.

The problem on Dust II

The one thing Boombl4 said he was a little sad about was BetBoom’s attack on Dust II. He said the team got nervous there, and the half felt like their previous tournaments: a lot of stress, nobody feeling their own game, no communication and basic things forgotten.

The game slipped out of their hands, he said, although they came back late at 12-11 and could have forced overtime. Boombl4 said this may be mostly on him because he did not keep enough control, and he described what the team went through as team stress.

The result

BetBoom and Legacy met in the final round of group B. The Russian team won 2-1, taking Nuke 16-13 and Mirage 13-11 and losing Dust II 11-13. BetBoom moved on to the playoffs, and Legacy left the tournament.
