CS2 sensitivity calculator
Your eDPI, the mouse distance for a full turn and the same sensitivity at a new DPI, from the values in the CS2 game files.
How the numbers are worked out
- eDPI is mouse DPI × in-game sensitivity, as the mouse makers ZOWIE and Corsair define it.
- The CS2 console variable list gives
m_yaw, “Mouse yaw factor.”, a default of 0.022, andsensitivity, “Mouse sensitivity.”, a default of 1.25 with limits of 0.0001 to 8 (m_yaw, sensitivity; GameTracking-CS2 mirror, Oct. 15, 2026). - In Valve's Source engine code, each mouse count is multiplied by the sensitivity and turns the view by 0.022 × that many degrees (in_mouse.cpp, line 488 and line 531; view angles in degrees: mathlib_base.cpp, line 908; Source SDK 2013).
- So a full 360° turn takes 360 ÷ (0.022 × sensitivity) counts. Divided by the mouse DPI, that is 360 ÷ (0.022 × eDPI) inches of mouse travel; × 2.54 for centimeters.
- The same sensitivity at a new DPI is sensitivity × old DPI ÷ new DPI: the eDPI, and with it the distance for a full turn, stays the same.

|---|---|---|
| 400 | 103.9 | 40.9 |
| 600 | 69.3 | 27.3 |
| 800 | 52.0 | 20.5 |
| 1,000 | 41.6 | 16.4 |
| 1,200 | 34.6 | 13.6 |
| 1,600 | 26.0 | 10.2 |
| 2,000 | 20.8 | 8.2 |
FAQ
What is eDPI in CS2?
eDPI, or effective DPI, is your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity, as the mouse makers ZOWIE and Corsair define it. At 800 DPI and the CS2 default sensitivity of 1.25, it is 1,000.
What is the default sensitivity in CS2?
1.25. The CS2 console variable list gives sensitivity a default of 1.25 and limits of 0.0001 to 8.
How do I keep the same sensitivity after changing my DPI?
Multiply your sensitivity by your old DPI and divide by the new DPI. eDPI and the mouse distance for a full turn stay the same.
How far do I move the mouse for a 360-degree turn in CS2?
360 ÷ (0.022 × eDPI) inches, or 2.54 times that in centimeters. At an eDPI of 1,000, that is 16.4 inches (41.6 cm).
